For folks who lived in the late 1800’s, life was not easy! But it wasn’t all work. One favorite pastime was to get together in the town square and enjoy a meal together. While the grown-ups talked and shared the latest news, the kids played a variety of games. Sometimes the adults couldn’t help but show those kids a thing or two about having fun! Many times there were contests to see who could run the fastest, or whose horse was the fastest. It was a time to relax and have fun. Gold Rush Days is a time to remember those hardworking, but fun-loving folks who made this community what it is today. Come join us on the 2nd Saturday in June for Gold Rush Days at Sidney Legion Park and enjoy live music, games, food and other wholesome family entertainment. Don’t forget the Frontier Village where you can experience life in the 1800’s.

At the end of a hard day’s work, there’s nothing better than a good, hot cup of coffee and a home-cooked meal.
